When using the extension, I found that the one of many major problems with StayFocusd is that it only applies to Chrome. This creates such a major setback simply because one can open another browser like Safari or FireFox where StayFocusd cannot restrict your access. Not only that, but in order for StayFocusd to truly work, setting it up and fine tuning the tedious adjustments take more work than it's worth it to use the program.
I feel like taking this much time to set up a program simply just adds onto the list of things I don't have to do. However, the mode I felt was most useless was Nuclear Mode where all Internet access was restricted to a point where I could not use Google Chrome. This did more harm than good forcing me to relieve Chrome as a browser for more than a day's time. The fact that we are very reliant on the Internet for school work or personal matters makes this module of StayFocusd to seem almost irrelevant.
Furthermore, I completely understand the regard of Nuclear mode and how the internet as a whole can be distracting. But aside from that, the extension is something more focused towards those who feel it is necessary to have restrictions as such. And for those who seek the extreme to make sure they do not procrastinate with the help of Nuclear Mode.
